The Defence Humanists network seeks to advance the provision of secular and Humanist services in support of members of the UK Armed Forces and their families.

“The Army Chaplain Service now has representatives from all the major religions, but none for those of no religion. I feel this is a particular failing on operational tours where SSAFA, WRVS and such non-religious welfare/counselling services are less-readily available, but possibly more important. I also feel a natural compulsion to attend remembrance services, but a genuine repulsion at some of the religious assertions that are invariably included.”
